Custodial History
Peter Paret donated these materials to the Shelby White and Leon Levy Archives Center on October 30, 2020. Upon receipt, these papers were added to an existing collection of Peter Paret materials received by the Institute for Advanced Study Historical Studies-Social Science Library from Peter Paret during a donation of his personal library in 2017.
Peter Paret noted that the correspondence between Paret and Gilbert came directly from Gilbert who "saved my letters and copies of his replies in his folders, which I received from his widow."
